Call for Entry for the National Student Film Competition at LAFF, and Closing Submissions for African and International Competitions

LAFF administration has announced the addition of a new competition to its program this year, which would be for film students and graduates in Egypt, and it requires the director to be a student or a graduate of a film school residing in Egypt.

It also requires the film to be a 2017 production with maximum run time of 30 minutes, the call for entries, to be submitted on the website ends at the 20th of January.

The festival’s administration sees that such a competition has become a necessity due to the huge number of submissions it’s been receiving by students and graduates of the Higher Institute of Cinema and other film academies in Egypt, which made it essential to create such a competition at LAFF dedicated to these creative works.

In addition, the festival’s selection committee will conclude its work this week regarding the official selections for the African and International competitions (Freedom and Human Rights .. Al Husseiny Abu Deif).

The festival will announce all details regarding its 7th edition at a press conference by the end of January 2018.
